Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work necessary for the Runway 1-19 Rehabilitation at Akron Canton Airport. This project includes milling and overlaying Runway 1-19, including the intersection with Runway 5-23 and several taxiway connectors. Work also includes sawcut grooving of the pavement and painting pavement markings with reflective media. Additionally, the project covers the removal, replacement, and relocation of both supplemental wind cones, replacement of the Runway Weather Information System (RWIS) and associated runway pavement sensors. Alternate Bid #1 involves the installation of additional runway sensors in Runway 5-23 pavement. Instructions to bidders: Bids must be submitted via the Bid Express service. Each bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check or Certified Check equal to ten percent (10%) of the contract price, or a Bid Guaranty Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. A Performance Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a Maintenance Bond for twenty percent (20%) of the contract price are required. Bids may be held for up to 90 days for evaluation. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids or waive any informality. Contractors are subject to Davis-Bacon Act wage and labor provisions and other specified federal requirements including Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation, Affirmative Action, Buy American Preferences, and others as specified.
