Sealed bids are requested for the following asphalt materials for the year: 1. Up to 3,000 tons of asphalt for seal coats, tack coats, prime coats, and crack sealing; grades AE-90, AE-90S, CM150, CM-300, and AE-PL Dust Control. Materials must meet current INDOT Standard Specifications, Section 902.01. Asphalt is to be delivered by truck to any designated Grant County storage tank, vendor storage tank, or distributor truck at locations specified by the Highway Supervisor. Bid prices are required for each grade of liquid asphalt. 2. Up to 35,000 tons of HAC hot asphalt mix binder course, intermediate, and surface course, as specified in current INDOT Specifications; Section 402, approved by the Grant County Highway Superintendent. A. Furnished and loaded in Grant County highway trucks at the vendor’s plant. B. Furnished and loaded in Grant County highway trucks, laid with the vendor's motor paver, and rolled with a roller not less than 12 tons, as specified by the County Highway Supervisor. Furnished at any site in Grant County. Includes different rates for 0-1000 tons per day and 1000+ tons per day, both including tack oil. Additional trucking, if required to haul to paver, priced per hour. Hourly rate required for road widener to put shoulder stone down, including operator and hauling stone to the machine by the county highway department. A copy of the state inspection certification must be included with bids. A list of possible paving locations may be obtained from the Grant County Highway Department. The entity reserves the right to accept or reject any bid in the best interest of the county.
