Site work and paving for a road / highway in Maud, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Bids are invited for the rehabilitation of portions of Fannin Street, Pecan Street, Bowie Street, and Austin Street, consisting of cement base stabilization and asphalt concrete pavement surfacing. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid for those contracts that exceed $100,000. A certified check or bank draft payable to the CITY OF MAUD or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project will be financed with assistance from the Texas Department of Agriculture under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Downtown Revitalization Program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Veteran-Owned Businesses, and Section 3 Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. This solicitation is for services related to a project that is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States. The CITY OF MAUD reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the CITY OF MAUD for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.
