Community Living York South is seeking proposals from qualified General Contractors to complete a full renovation of a residential care facility located at 9661 Bathurst Street, Richmond Hill, Ontario. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing all labour, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, engineering, and inspections required to complete the renovation work in compliance with the Ontario Building Code, Electrical Code, Plumbing Code, and Fire Code. Work includes, but is not limited to: Basement renovations: fire-rated ceilings and separations, sprinkler room construction, bulkheads, fireplace removal, kitchenette modifications Main floor work: laundry room modifications, new insulated steel door, supply and installation of wheelchair lift with dedicated power Accessible washroom: expanded fully accessible washroom with roll-in shower, non-slip tile, accessible fixtures, ventilation, waterproofing, doorway widening, and creation of additional bedroom Interior modifications: new railings, stairwell enclosure, fire-rated doors and trim Electrical: modification of all affected systems, LED lighting, receptacles, smoke and CO detectors (panel upgrades excluded) Painting: full interior repaint using low-VOC paints Exterior fencing: new pressure-treated fencing, gates, posts, and hardware HVAC, generator, and sprinkler system installation are by others.
