Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Oyster Bay, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Sealed proposals are invited for concrete replacement at various locations throughout the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the instructions to bidders and accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid amount. The contractor is required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and must have an approved apprenticeship program in effect at the time of bid opening, appropriate for the type and scope of work, as approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor. Proof of participation in an apprenticeship program must be submitted within five business days of bid opening. Subcontractors with subcontracts of $250,000 or more must also have an apprenticeship program in place prior to performing any work. All laborers, workers, and mechanics working on the site for public works contracts exceeding $250,000 must be certified as having completed the OSHA 10-hour construction safety and health course. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible qualified bidder, subject to the availability of funds and lawful requirements.
