This project generally consists of the expansion of the airport terminal primary parking lot. Major items of work include earthwork and approximately 2,630 square yards of asphalt paving. Other items of work include concrete curb and sidewalk installation, chain-link fencing installation, storm drainage installation, tree transplanting, overhead lighting installation, pavement markings, erosion control, and turf stabilization. Contractors intending on submitting a bid must purchase contract documents at a non-refundable cost of $200 per set. All Bidders shall be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee and all amendments thereto in effect on the date of receipt of bids. All bidders must comply with Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, in particular Chapter 6 regarding preparation of bid envelope. The proposal, enclosed in a sealed envelope, must be clearly labeled with the name of the project, Contractor’s name and address, license number, classification, expiration date, and the date and time of the Bid Opening. Failure to show these items on the outside of the envelope will result in the bid being returned unopened. Withdrawals of bid proposals will be permitted only if written request is made prior to the time set for opening. No bid may be withdrawn for 180 days following the bid opening without the Owner’s consent. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held in the Clarksville Regional Airport Terminal Building for the purpose of discussing the scope of the project and answering questions. Attendance at this conference by an appropriate contractor representative is mandatory in order to be eligible to submit a bid. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bidders Bond or a cashier’s or certified check made payable to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Airport Authority for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. A 100% Contract Bond will be required of the successful Contractor. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities, and to accept any proposal it considers in its best interest. The project is subject to various federal funding requirements.
