Reference number: 20077324 There is provision for a tendering process for each tender Lot 01 -- Matieres residuelles Lot 02 -- Matieres recyclables Electronic tender submission accepted Yes, via SEAO, with a document Deadline for receipt of complaints 2026-03-03 Estimated contract price range 736 000 $ a 6 943 899 $ Expected duration of the contract without options (in months) 18 Expected duration of the contract with options (in months) 42 Description As part of its commitment to sustainable development, McGill University wishes to enter into two separate contracts with two different suppliers for the Macdonald campus located in Sainte-Anne-de-de-Pre-Beu: one for the supply of containers as well as the collection and management of non-hazardous residual materials, and the other for the collection and management of recyclable materials. These contracts exclude the management of compostable materials. McGill University places great importance on reducing the environmental, social and economic impacts associated with waste management. It expects its suppliers to share this vision and adopt responsible practices aimed at minimizing the negative effects of their activities, products and services. The services covered include in particular: The regular collection of waste and recyclable materials (paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, metal); Participation restriction - Prize allocation This call for tenders comprises two separate lots. In order to ensure environmental compliance and quality of services, a supplier may submit a proposal for more than one (1) batch. Any submission filed on both lots will be declared non-compliant. This measure is intended to ensure a rigorous and separate treatment of residual materials and recyclable materials. The lack of supplier diversification could lead to significant gaps in compliance with expected practices for managing recyclable materials. To reduce the risks of non-compliance, ensure sound accountability and maintain the required environmental standards, it is therefore considered preferable that the batches be entrusted to two different suppliers. The supply, maintenance and replacement of the necessary containers and compactors; The supply free of charge of 240 L and 360 L capacity bins; The effective management of collected materials, with a view to maximizing value; Collaboration with McGill teams to optimize operations and reduce operating costs. The University aims to significantly improve its rate of development of residual materials, in a perspective of reduction at source and progress towards the goal "zero waste". It also wishes to optimize its operations in order to reduce the costs associated with these services, while maintaining a high level of environmental performance. This contract represents a strategic opportunity for companies in the sector to demonstrate their expertise, operational efficiency and commitment to sustainable practices, while collaborating with a leading institution in Canada. The collection services for the downtown campus are currently provided by other suppliers/contracts and are not included in this tender. However, ad hoc interventions may be required for some small buildings, in coordination with municipal services or other providers. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
