The Trenton Board of Education seeks competitive bid pricing for a new transportation complex. Bidders must pay a non-refundable fee to obtain the bid package and can pick up documents in person or arrange for express pick-up after payment. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope containing the project title, bid number, bidder name and address, and will be publicly opened at the specified date and time. Electronic submissions are not accepted. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site, and all contractors must sign in on time and park in legal, off-site spaces. Questions should be emailed to the designated project coordinator by the specified deadline. All bidders must comply with state equal opportunity and wage requirements and must be qualified by the Department of the Treasury if the project exceeds $20,000. Bidders must submit a prequalification affidavit, notice of classification, total amount of uncompleted contracts form, ownership disclosure, non-collusion affidavit, and a contractor questionnaire/certification with their bid. A bid bond or certified check for 10% of the bid total, not to exceed $20,000, is required. Incomplete or non-compliant bids may be disqualified. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive minor informalities if it serves their interests.
