The Ministry of Forests is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced suppliers for the continuous application of 35% Calcium Chloride or 30% Magnesium Chloride on Deer Creek FSR from 0km to 14km. The application must cover a width of 4 meters and be applied at a rate of 1.6L/m2, increasing to 2.1L/m2 on hills. The estimated total quantity is 100,000 litres. The contractor will pre-water in advance of dust control if there is insufficient moisture in the road base to allow the material to combine chemically with the fines, in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations. A water truck will be required. Submissions must be delivered by one of the following methods: BC Bid Electronic Submission (for registered bidders), Email Submission (to Selkirk.resources@gov.bc.ca, with the opportunity description and ID in the subject line), or Hard Copy Submission (one paper hard-copy and one electronic copy on USB, delivered by hand or courier, in a clearly marked envelope).
