This work shall consist of furnishing and installing a cured in place liner within existing 6-inch, 8-inch, and 15-inch diameter sewer lines in selected areas of the city and in accordance with the contract documents. Total project involves approximately 6,619 linear feet and 150 service taps. A complete list of sewers to be rehabilitated and TV inspection reports for most lines are available. Contractors may wish to perform their own evaluation prior to the bid. Bids will only be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN.com. Prospective bidders must be on the Planholder list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. Downloading electronic contract documents is strongly encouraged, but hard copies may be obtained from the City of Cedar Falls by appointment. If any prospective bidder is in doubt as to the true meaning of any parts of the contract documents, the bidder may request an interpretation from the Water Reclamation Manager or Engineer in writing, through email. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening bids may not be answered. The Contractor shall give preference to Iowa domestic labor in accordance with Section 73 of the Code of Iowa. Contractors and approved subcontractors will be provided a Sales Tax Exemption Certification for purchases related to the project.
