Maintenance dredging is required for the Cedar Island Keaton Beach Federal Navigation Project in Taylor County, Florida. The work consists of dredging a shallow-draft navigation channel to a 50-foot width and a required depth of - 5.0 feet Mean Lower Low Water, with one foot of allowable overdepth. Approximately 15,000 cubic yards of dredged material will be removed and transported to a suitable state-approved upland disposal area, with a potential hauling distance ranging from 5 to 60 miles depending on the final site selection. The effort includes the means and methods necessary for dredging, dewatering, and rehandling material to achieve a condition suitable for truck transport, along with all associated handling, staging, and operational requirements. Industry input is requested regarding proposed dewatering and rehandling processes, minimum required upland footprint for operations, anticipated equipment, and experience performing similar shallow-draft dredging projects. Location: Cedar Island / Keaton Beach area, Taylor County, Florida. The referenced site is in the vicinity of Keaton Beach Coastal Park, 20183 Beach Rd, Perry, FL 32348. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
