Renovation of a mixed-use development in Garland, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

The contractor shall provide supervision, labor, and all specified materials needed to replace the heat exchanger tube bundle and weld neck flange at the East Tower of the Garland VA Medical Center. Work includes locking and tagging out the steam valve, isolating the water valve, installing one VA-furnished tube bundle, welding and repairing the neck flange, replacing two butterfly valves, two triple-duty valves, one pump and motor assembly, laser-aligning the motor and pump, and supplying and replacing one 4-inch suction guide in the East Tower. All valves are provided by the VA. The contractor shall clean up and dispose of all removed parts and ensure that all materials used are new, defect-free, and contain no asbestos. Work must be performed safely without disrupting facility operations, following all OSHA, NFPA, VA, and site-specific safety requirements. Daily progress reports shall be provided, and all removed materials must be disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations. Temporary electrical power and water may be furnished by the Government, and the contractor shall provide any necessary protected storage space.
