As of May 13, 2026, the project was awarded to Grayson Carter & Son Contracting, Inc. but the awarded amount is not available. 26-0009 Question Deadline 03/03/2026 at 2:00 PM CT Questions addressed to Lathan Mckee, Architects Glenn Chapman, Project Manager gchapman@lathanmckee.com Sealed proposals are requested for paving at Eva School and Lacey's Spring School for Morgan County Schools. All General Contractors must visit the site and examine all existing conditions prior to submitting their proposal. General liability and workman's compensation insurance are required. The project shall be bid excluding taxes, and bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Architect. A certified check or bid bond payable to Morgan County Schools in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid (maximum $10,000) must accompany the proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds are required at contract signing. Contractors must be licensed as required by Alabama law, and the current license number must be displayed on the outside of the sealed proposal envelope. Project documents can be reviewed and printed from the Architect's website, and only those documents are endorsed. Addendums will be provided to entities with confirmed bidding status. Print sets must be returned in reusable condition within ten days after bid opening. Contractors are to ensure proper supervision of all work. Contract Documents: Indicate the work of the Contract and related requirements and conditions that have an impact on the project. Related requirements and conditions that are indicated on the Contract Documents include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Existing site conditions and restrictions on use of the site including ingress and egress to the site. 2. Grading operations at the site. 3. The Contractor shal be responsible to secure the site during the execution of the work and provide proof of insurance including but not limited to General Liability, W/C, Auto, Equipment, etc. C. Summary by References: Work of the Contract can be summarized by references to the Contract, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, the Project Manual, Technical Specification Sections, Drawings, Addenda and modifications to the Contract Documents issued subsequent to the initial printing of this Project Manual and the Drawings, and including but not necessarily limited to, printed material referenced by any of the above. It is recognized that the Work of the Contract is also unavoidably affected or influenced by governing regulations, natural phenomenon including weather conditions, and other forces outside the contract documents. "Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only. Official sets must be obtained from McKee and Associates to bid."
