DWSRFNo. 19110 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work to be performed under this Item consists of the furnishing, unloading, delivering, storing, distributing, and installing of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe by the directional drilling method, fittings and specials of whatever nature of the types and sizes or alternates identified in the Bid Proposal, including, but not limited to: clearing and preparation of entry and exit sites; all necessary excavation of whatever nature maintenance, cleaning and backfill of all pits; provision and mixing of drilling fluid components including clean water; pumping and testing drilling fluids; drilling of pilot hole; monitoring and guidance of pilot hole drill bit; back reaming, swabbing bore hole; pullback of product pipe; abandonment of failed bores, relocation and construction of replacement bores; installation of tracer wire; disposal of slurry/cuttings mixture; pumping and handling of all drainage or groundwater; provision of barricades and warning lights; temporary sheeting, bracing, and supporting the adjoining ground or structures where necessary; the laying; the jointing; special connections; the testing and sterilizing of pipe, fittings, specials, and appurtenances including concrete anchor blocks and pipe transitions; joint restraint; backfilling and consolidation of the trenches; replacing topsoil and sod; removing surplus material; surveying and construction necessary for establishing line and grade; cleaning up; together with all necessary materials, labor, plant, tools, and equipment for the complete installation of pipe, fittings and specials, as shown on the Drawings and as required by the Contract Specifications.
