The work includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and the noted material for pavement markings, including all appurtenances. All bidders and subcontractors must be ODOT prequalified in the categories required for the type of work they are to perform. Each bid must contain the full names of the party or parties making the bid, an affidavit as to interested parties, and, in the case of a corporation not chartered in Ohio, a proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty Bond for the full amount (100%) of the Bid or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in the amount of 10% of the Bid. The bid guaranty is for the benefit of the City if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish bond and insurance certificates within ten days after notification of the award. The contract document book must be executed by the contractor and returned in its original condition; documents shall not be removed from the bid book. Bids not submitted in the original bid book provided by the City will not be accepted. Only contractors on the plan holder list may submit bids. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept any bid deemed most favorable.
