This project consists of roadway and pedestrian improvements along Cleveland Avenue. The length of the project is 1.42 miles. All improvements shall be constructed according to the construction plans for each location and by all GDOT standards and specifications. The purpose of the Cleveland Avenue Pedestrian Mobility Improvement project is to install pedestrian signal upgrades, ADA-compliant ramps, new pedestrian hybrid beacons (PHBs) and rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs) at unsignalized intersections and mid-block crossings, pedestrian refuge islands, include new and/or replace crosswalks, speed detection and notification signs, minor intersection geometry changes to enhance pedestrian crossings, new sidewalks, and new landscaping.
