Site work and paving for a playground / park / athletic field in Skokie, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The scope of work includes asphalt paving at several sites throughout the district. All bids must be sealed in an envelope clearly marked Skokie District, 2026 Asphalt Improvements and delivered to the Park Services at 7523 Long Avenue, Skokie, IL 60077. Bids will be received until exactly 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 5th at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work of this project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. A prevailing wage determination has been made for the Park District by IDOL for public works projects in Cook County. The contract entered into for the work will be drawing in compliance with said law and proposals should be prepared accordingly and provide payment for all laborers, workmen and mechanics needed to perform the work at no less than the prevailing rate of wages for each craft, type of worker or mechanic. All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Park District for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No proposals will be considered unless accompanied by such a bond or check.
