Award: Jensen Chip & Seal Coating at a cost not-to-exceed $13,875.40. The City of Medford Department of Public Works is accepting quotes for street painting with the following estimated quantities: Yellow Curb Painting-approximately 14,500 linear feet (Main St west), including removal of all loose existing paint, debris, dirt, and grass before application; White Stop Blocks-approximately 3,300 linear feet, each block 15 feet long by 1 foot wide; Turning Lane Arrows-approximately 1; Lane Marking-approximately 1,000 linear feet; White Cross Walks-approximately 7,000 linear feet for new added crosswalks (width between two 4-inch lines will be five feet or width of the sidewalk); White Parking Stalls-approximately 10,000 linear feet. White and yellow latex paint must conform to the Present State of Wisconsin Standard Specification Section 646. The work is to begin May 1 and be completed by June 1. Work completed after June 1 carries a $100 per day penalty, with credit allowed for rain delays. Sealed bids must be turned in to the Department of Public Works by 9:45am on Thursday, in a sealed envelope marked as Street Striping Bid. A Certificate of Insurance must be submitted with the bid. The City reserves the right to reject all bids.
