Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This work consists of the replacement of approximately 233 lead water service lines with copper water services from the water main to the water meter inside the property; 27 lead services on the City side only between the water main and proposed new curb stop; and 17 private side only services between the existing curb stop and water meter inside the property. The project also includes associated restoration of asphalt pavement, sidewalk, drive approaches, and lawn areas disturbed in connection with the water line replacement. For this project, the City of Grand Rapids Prequalification of Bidders and Subcontractors is waived and replaced with a Contractor's Qualification Statement that must be submitted as required. This project is funded in whole or in part by a loan through the State of Michigan. As such, the contractors and subcontractors will be required to meet all requirements of the Drinking Water Revolving Fund (DWRF) including but not limited to Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) good-faith efforts; Debarment/Suspension Certifications; and Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wages. QA date - 3-17-2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda, delivered to all parties, recorded by the City as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than 5 business days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered Question Deadline 03/17/2026
