The County is coordinating with a storage system vendor. Proposals must be sealed and labeled clearly on the front "Request for Proposal Calhoun County Museum Storage Room Construction and Modification Project". Late proposals will not be accepted. The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the following scope of work. 1. Existing Double Door (Interior Seal): o An existing double door will remain in place. o The door will not be removed or bricked on the exterior. o Contractor shall seal and finish the door opening from the interior side only, creating a finished interior wall surface suitable for storage use. o Work shall ensure proper installation and secure closure. 2. Interior Door Modification: o Remove an existing bifold door. o Close in and reframe the wall as required. o Install a new door opening meeting the minimum required dimensions of: o 84 inches high o 42 inches wide o Door shall meet the storage vendor's minimum clearance requirements. o Provide and install new door, frame, and hardware. 3. Wall Modifications: o Modify and/or extend the existing interior wall as required to accommodate shelving layout. o All framing and finishing shall match existing interior finished where applicable. o Work must comply with applicable building codes. 4. Electrical Work (As Needed): o Minor electrical modifications maybe required. o Work may include separating lighting so the renovated storage room operates on an independent switch. o All electrical work must meet applicable codes.
