This contract consists of replacing the existing gymnasium heating and ventilating units with packaged rooftop units capable of heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning for the following nine schools: Phase 1: Bellows Spring ES, Gorman Crossing ES, Hollifield Station ES, Murray Hill MS, and Wilde Lake HS. Phase 2: Bushy Park ES, Veterans ES, Long Reach HS, and Marriotts Ridge HS. The work shall also include: Replacement of existing ductwork with field-painted, double-wall, insulated spiral round ductwork in exposed locations and unpainted, double-wall, insulated rectangular ductwork in concealed locations; provision of direct digital controls (DDC) automatic temperature controls and associated sequences of operation for all HVAC units; tooth patching of existing and new CMU wall penetrations to accommodate the work and painting of walls to match adjacent wall colors; modifications to the existing sprinkler piping in the gymnasiums as required to accommodate the new work; all final electrical connections; modifications to the electrical distribution systems as required to accommodate the HVAC units; roof structural reinforcement; and roof edge safety guardrails where required. All roof modifications shall be coordinated with owner's roofing contractors where the roof is under warranty.
