The work consists of providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete infrastructure improvements that support the Electronic Health Records Modernization system at the VAPHS H.J. Heinz Campus. Work includes construction activities required to modify multiple existing buildings to accommodate new infrastructure, including installation of a new campus-wide fiber backbone with underground routing involving excavation, trenching, and construction of reinforced concrete duct banks with associated access points. Interior improvements within Buildings 32, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 69, 70, and 71 encompass renovations and reconfiguration of existing rooms and telecommunication closets, including relocation, expansion, and construction of new walls, doors, finishes, and related architectural features across approximately 2,750 square feet of affected space. The contractor shall provide all construction services necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with contract documents, including managing required phasing, work within occupied medical facilities, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, data, and civil infrastructure, including tie-ins to existing systems.
