Site work for a transportation facility in Reidsville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials and performing all work in strict accordance with the plans and specifications for Airfield Electrical Rehabilitation at Swinton Smith Field at Reidsville Municipal Airport, Reidsville, Georgia. Base Bid: All labor, materials and supervision to replace and upgrade of existingrunway signage, lighting fixtures, control systems, wiring, and associated infrastructure to ensure compliance with current FAA regulations and enhance airfield safety and operational efficiency. The tasks required to do this work include but are not limited to the following: 1. Demolition of existing runway and taxiway lighting. 2. Remove and Replace Runway Lighting. 3. Remove and Replace Taxiway Lighting. 4. Install New 2 Box PAPI's. 5. Rehabilitate Beacon Tower. 6. Remove and Replace Rotating Beacon 7. Remove and Replace Primary and Secondary Wind Cones 8. Remove and Replace Airfield Signage 9. Relocate Existing AWOS System 10. Remove and Replace Airfield Electrical Vault and Replace Equipment 11. Functional Check of all Systems Bids will only be considered by those bidders and subcontractors currently pre-qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation. For each item on the bid form there must be a price shown in numerals and words, with all notations in ink. Totals read at the opening of bids are not guaranteed to be correct and no final award will be made until the bid and extensions have been verified. A Bidder's bond must be executed on the form furnished, and the required bond, cash, cashier's check, or certified check must accompany each proposal in the amount of 5% of the total proposal. A 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond will be required at contract execution. All bonds from a surety company must be countersigned by a Georgia Resident Agent and meet requirements for authorization to transact surety business in Georgia; no bond will be approved unless the surety is on the United States Department of Treasury's list of approved bond sureties. The successful bidder must provide the affidavit required by OCGA 36-91-21 (e) Competitive Award Requirements. All work must be completed within ninety (90) calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Liquidated damages for delays in completion will be $1,000 per calendar day. Payment will be made monthly on completed work, with retainage held to a maximum of ten percent (10%) of each progress payment. Bids must remain open for acceptance or rejection for one hundred and twenty (120) days after the bid opening. Bidders must have necessary equipment available for prompt start and completion of work. The right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities is reserved by the Sponsor. The following requirements apply: Buy American Preferences (all acquired steel and manufactured products must be produced in the United States); Foreign Trade Restriction; Government-wide debarment and suspension and requirements for drug-free workplace; Davis-Bacon Act. The bidder shall make good faith efforts to subcontract to small business concerns owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (DBE) as defined in 49 CFR Part 26. Contractors must affirm that their firm is registered with and participating in a federal work authorization program per O.C.G.A. 13-10-91. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 applies. DBEs will be given full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on specified grounds. - "Documents are for Viewing Purposes Only. Question Deadline 03/13/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to ENGINEER. Requests for interpretations of drawings and specifications must be made in writing to the Engineers not later than five (5) days (weekends and holidays not included) prior to receipt of Proposals. Copies of the plans, specifications, and bid forms may be on file at the following locations: the Document Processing Center, Construct Connect: - 3825 Edwards Rd., Suite 800, Cincinnati, Ohio 45209 the Airport location or Sponsor's Office: - 1451 Airport Road, Reidsville, GA 30453 and the Engineer's office, Croy Engineering, LLC: - 200 North Cobb Pkwy, Bldg. 400, Suite 413, Marietta, GA 30062 They may be examined at these offices without charge.
