The project consists of pre-construction consultation and construction of a replacement of the existing East Lake Booster Pump Station (BPS) with a new BPS on the existing site, as well as approximately 5,000 linear feet of new water main outside of the existing BPS property (suction and discharge piping) to improve the system hydraulics. The new BPS is anticipated to have horizontal split case pumps inside a new BPS building, site piping designed to maintain the existing operations of the onsite ground storage tanks, a standby power generator with automatic transfer switch, demolition of the existing BPS interior with the building left for storage if possible, and a new building with a roll up door and crane system for pump removal/access, and a climate controlled electrical room with new switchgear and VFDs. The successful proposer will not be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds for the Pre-Construction Services Contract. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Guaranteed Maximum Price Contract amount, will be required at the time of Contract Agreement for Construction execution. The Owner reserves the right to reject all Proposals, to waive irregularities and informalities. Any proposer that contacts any of the Owner’s elected officials or staff, or the Owner’s consultants, except as allowed, directly or indirectly after the date of issue of the invitation for the purpose of influencing the selection process prior to award, shall be immediately disqualified and removed from consideration.
