Sealed proposals are requested for the furnishing of all materials and the performance of all labor in accordance with the contract documents for the roof replacement at Pike Central High School, Petersburg, Indiana. Bids are to be submitted in sealed envelopes identifying the project. Proposals will be received for a Unified Bid Package, and the base bid shall include general construction and plumbing construction. Construction will strictly follow the Bidding Documents, which are available for examination and purchase. Each bid must include costs for Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond, a list of subcontractors and major material suppliers, a bid bond or bid security equal to 5% of the total bid, Indiana State Form 96, and a financial statement. Bidders must visit the site to familiarize themselves with the existing conditions. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after the deadline. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, evaluate bidders’ qualifications, and waive informalities. All proposals must strictly adhere to the requirements laid out in the drawings, specifications, and contract documents prepared by Hafer. The Architect is not responsible for verbal explanations; all requests for clarification must be made in writing. No bidder may change a proposed subcontractor without owner approval.
