The proposed work includes the installation of new fiber optic infrastructure, which involves approximately 17,850 lineal feet of 1.5-inch underground HDPE fiber conduit via horizontal directional drilling, 28,800 lineal feet of 2 x 1.5-inch underground HDPE fiber conduit (2 parallel conduit runs pulled together) via horizontal directional drilling, 13,000 lineal feet of new aerial fiber, approximately 87,700 lineal feet of underground fiber, vaults and handholes, and the subsequent fiber optic cable installation. Bidders are required to provide a price for Labor Only. The project shall be in accordance with the specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer. Bids must be accompanied by bid security, either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount (100%) of the bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the City of Hudson. The City will only receive bids through the Bid Express website. All bid forms, contract documents, and plans are available through the Bid Express website. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonconformities not involving price, time, or changes in the work.
