Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.

Colliers Project Leaders is seeking the Services of a Construction Manager to deliver the CECC Tensile Membrane Structure Project as outlined in the RFP. Based on the prototype design from the Elgin-Middlesex Detention Centre, the Consultant will develop the design for the new structure at CECC, taking into consideration programming requirements specific to the facility and aligning with applicable current codes and standards. The scope of the Construction Management Services includes, but is not limited to: surveying and setting out; site preparation and grading, utility relocation and foundation work required to accept the Sprung Structure; under slab plumbing, drainage, electrical and communications; erection of the Sprung Structure for the main building and tunnel, supply and install exterior doors; reinforced concrete slab-on-grade in main structure and connecting tunnel including embedded radiant heating and insulation; site servicing including tie-ins with existing facility services and connections to utility mains; interior concrete and masonry walls supporting suspended floor slabs and ceilings; stairs and handrails; single-cab passenger elevator; interior architectural fit-up, including all associated security doors, hardware, glazing finishes and other specialties required; painting and specialty finishes; signage; all associated distribution, equipment and fixtures for mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, electrical, lighting, and communications; electronic security, surveillance, and scanning systems; furniture, fixtures and equipment; openings required in existing facility exterior wall to connect the new structure and services; perimeter fencing; exterior covered inmate yard (approx. 7,000 sq.ft.); hard and soft landscaping; refer to Appendix C - Task List; minimize disruption to existing facilities; manage H&S compliance due to disruptive intrusive hazardous works; coordination with Owner-supplied vendors.
