Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Strongsville, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
**As of March 31st, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on April 6 , 2026** This project involves the removal and replacement of two existing culverts located beneath Westwood Drive. One existing culvert is a corrugated metal pipe arch and the other is a cast-in-place box culvert. Both culverts will be replaced with new reinforced concrete box culverts, including all required appurtenances and restoration of affected roadway and surrounding infrastructure. Bids must contain the full name or names of the interested parties, and if a corporation not chartered in Ohio, a certificate authorizing it to do business in Ohio. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond made payable to the City of Strongsville, in an amount not less than 10 percent of the total bid amount, as a guarantee of contract entry if the bid is accepted. The price of material and labor must be separately stated. Bidders must use the printed forms of proposal provided. Bidders are required to comply with the Department of Labor's goals and timetables for the Cleveland, Ohio area as specified in the Notice of Requirements for Affirmative Action to ensure Equal Employment Opportunity (Executive Order 11246) and ensure non-discrimination in employment. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and minor defects, and accept any bid deemed most favorable.
