Site work for a water / sewer project in Barker, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Every request forsuch interpretation shall be inwriting addressed to Shannon Westoven (swestoven@wendelcompanies.com) and to be given consideration, must be received prior to 4:00 pm on Monday, March 2, 2026. If the Engineer determines that an interpretation is not required, none shall be given. This work consists of moving personnel, equipment, material, and incidentals to the project and performing all work necessary before beginning work at the project site. Mobilization includes the obtaining of permits, insurance, and bonds as required. This item is included in the Contract Base Bid to cover the cost of additional work which may be requested by the Owner that is beyond the original scope of the Contract documents. This work shall consist of the costs incurred due to the construction of any item not specifically detailed in any other specification and/or plan sheet, but which is necessary to construct the project or is directly related to the operation of the new work and/or adjacent facilities. This item includes but is not limited to all bonds, insurance, mobilization, labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and all other materials not included elsewhere but needed to complete the work contemplated. Work under this item shall be performed on an as needed basis as directed by the Owner and/or Engineer. The base bid work consists of the removal and disposal of the existing lagoon 1 equipment. Removal, dewatering to 20% solids using mechanical drying or other approved methods, chemical addition (PAC), and disposal of sludge from the existing lagoon. Inspection and repair of clay liner in the lagoon as needed to provide a working system. Providing and installing a new lagoon system including all piping, fittings, valves, and equipment startup. The Contractor is responsible for all permitting and testing requirements for proper disposal of all materials. The alternate bid work includes the removal and disposal of the existing lagoon 2 equipment. Removal, dewatering (20% solids), chemical addition (PAC), and disposal of sludge from the existing lagoon. Inspection and repair of clay liner in the lagoon as needed to provide a working system. Providing and installing a new lagoon system including all piping, fittings, valves, and equipment startup.
