The proposed scope of work generally involves removal of the exiting Mod-Bit roof membrane at all Roof Areas including: installation of steel cover plates at abandoned roof openings and raised platforms; preparation of the roof deck substrate; installation of concrete infill, waterproofing, and exterior rated plywood at concrete parapet lattice work; repairs to existing roof edge guardrails; replacement of existing internal roof drains with new drain assemblies; installation of a new temporary roof membrane at all areas; installation of new flat insulation with tapered insulation at crickets/saddles and drain sumps; installation of 1/8" tapered insulation to increase roof slope at select areas; installation of a new cover board; and installation of the new single-ply PVC roof membrane system. The work will also include raising existing equipment curbs, louvers, thresholds (if needed), and flashing penetrations that are to remain; installation of new sheet metal components such as perimeter flashings, counter-flashings, collector heads, downspouts, and copings; installation of new overflow drainage scuppers; and other miscellaneous scope of work items such as drain line rerouting and scoping, sealant replacement, clerestory wet sealing, and painting of the roof ladder, equipment dunnage/supports, metal doors, metal piping, and other steel surfaces. All drawings and specifications will be issued during Step II (RFP) to the finalist firms The Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) for this project is $434,600.00. The final SCL may be revised by the Owner due to final programmatic requirements, funding availability or other circumstances. Georgia State University is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing Contractor services for the project known as Project No. 0048-018-26, Atlanta Campus, Commerce Building - Replace Roof. This Request for Qualifications seeks to identify the most qualified potential providers of the services described. Firms determined by the Owner to be the most qualified will be invited to offer Competitive Sealed Bids for these services. All respondents are subject to instructions provided in the document and additional terms and conditions listed in the Owner's Request for Qualifications / Request for Competitive Sealed Bids.
