Site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Coldwater, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel.
As of March 18, 2026, the project has not yet awarded. Sealed bids are requested for the rehabilitation and roadway approach work on Siegrist-Jutte Road, which includes reconstructing the existing roadway, improving drainage along the road, resurfacing the entire reconstructed roadway, and constructing a prestressed concrete bridge deck on rehabilitated capped-pile abutments. Bids must be submitted to the Clerk of the Board of Mercer County Commissioners. Specifications, bid forms, and construction plans are available from the Mercer County Engineer's Office. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty, either a bond for the full amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. A performance bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the project will be required upon entering a contract. All bids must meet applicable federal requirements, including payment of federal prevailing wages. A completed bid blank and other required forms must be included. Bidders must be on ODOT's list of pre-approved contractors for bridge level 1 or above. One contract will be awarded for the project on a unit price basis to the lowest and best bidder. The awarding agencies reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the opening date, except as provided by law.
