Renovation of a detention facility in Beacon, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
This is a correctional facility construction project involving the installation of eight outdoor recreation pens at Fishkill Correctional Facility in Beacon, NY. Work includes concrete slabs, steel recreation pen structures, electrical systems, CCTV/audio monitoring, lighting, gate controls, and site work. May require security clearances and specialized correctional facility experience. Sealed bids are invited for Project Nos. 47515-C and 47515-E for Construction Work and Electrical Work to provide congregate recreation pens at Building 21, Fishkill Correctional Facility, Beacon, NY. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and accompanied by a bid security (certified check, bank check, or bid bond) in the amount specified for each contract. Successful bidders are required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond for 100% of the contract amount. The estimated contract values are given for each trade. Bidders must comply with specific state finance laws and restricted communication periods, and affirm in their bid that they understand and agree to these requirements. Policies for MWBE and SDVOB participation are included, with overall participation goals specified for each trade. Bidding documents are available via Online , with instructions provided for access and electronic bidding. The project is subject to provisions for MWBE low-bid preference and bidders are encouraged to attend a scheduled site visit, providing advance notice and meeting security requirements. All bidders are expected to make good faith efforts to promote MWBE and SDVOB participation and cooperate with stated participation policies. The Office of General Services reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Site visit Note: Site Walkthrough Notes : Phone the office of George Trashani (845-765-7125) a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the date to provide the names of those who will attend the pre-bid site visit. Only contractors that schedule a visit at least 72 hours in advance will be allowed to participate in the pre-bid site visit. EPV between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 for E All successful bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond pursuant to Sections 136 and 137 of the State Finance Law, each for 100% of the amount of the Contract estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 for E.
