As of April 09, 2026, the project was awarded to Rathje Construction Co., with an awarded amount of $767,268.98. The extent of the work consists of the installation of 8-inch water main along Summit Street from Main Street to Green Street and installation of 6-inch water main along Vine Street from Summit to Main Street in the City of Center Point, Iowa. Project includes reconstruction of roadways, grading of ditches, connections to existing mains, installation of fire hydrants, and valves within City right-of-way. Contractor shall fully complete in 80 working days with a late start date of June 8, 2026. Should the contractor fail to complete the work in this timeframe, liquidated damages of $1,000 per working day will be assessed for work not completed within the designated contract term. The City of Center Point does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the jurisdiction.
