Sealed bids are being solicited for asbestos removal at the Manchester High School Locker Rooms. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a Pre-Bid Review Meeting. Specifications and instructions to bidders can be obtained at the Pre-Bid Meeting, from the School District Office, or by email from the consultant. A non-refundable fee is required for plans and specifications. Bids must be plainly marked as "SEALED BID" and properly endorsed, and must be submitted to the Business Administrator/Board Secretary before the bid opening. Bids will remain irrevocable for sixty (60) days. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, or accept any bid in the best interest of the School District. All bidders must comply with state requirements for affirmative action, stockholder disclosure, public works contractor registration, and business registration. Bidders must be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Building and Construction. A deposit of 10% of the bid amount, in the form of a certified check or bond, must accompany the proposal. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance bonds. No oral interpretations will be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of the drawings and specifications . Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing and addressed and forwarded to the AsbestosSafetyControl Monitor's office. No inquiry receivedlaterthan 4:30 p.m. ten (10) businessdays prior to the date fixed for opening of bids will be given consideration.
