The project consists of a multi-phased renovation of the boys’ and girls’ bathrooms in the McAdams Building at the Eastern NC School for the Deaf. The bathrooms serve as the main facilities for the dormitories, necessitating a phased approach to maintain access to at least one bathroom per floor at all times. The work includes replacing all toilet partitions to properly align with the water closets, bringing the restrooms up to ADA standards, installing new shower tile, replacing shower valves and drains to make them operational, and expanding one dormitory room to create an RA space with a new ADA bathroom. Sealed qualifications for the McAdams Building Bathroom Renovations must be delivered via UPS, Fed Ex, or in person to Muter Construction, 111 E. Vance Street, Zebulon, NC 27597, and must include one printed copy and a USB flash drive with the entire package contents, including the Letter of Interest. All submissions must be received no later than 3:00 PM, local prevailing time, on March 16, 2026. Proposing firms must be properly licensed to provide both construction and design services in the State of North Carolina. Qualification packages should address the State Building Commission's criteria, including key team profiles, resumes with licenses, relevant project and design-build experience, cost estimating, schedule adherence, project location understanding, current workload, and a description of the process for delivering the project.
