Vannoy Construction is seeking to pre-qualify contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, tools, and equipment for the new construction of a 100,000 square foot middle school. The project includes classroom wing, cafeteria, gymnasium, and administration suite. The building consists of a hybrid of structural pre-cast concrete and structural steel framing. The 14.9-acre site includes grading, utilities, storm drainage, and paving. Construction will occur in one phase over 20 months. Preliminary bid packages include site development, landscaping, fencing and security, structural pre-cast concrete, concrete, masonry, structural steel, gym wood flooring, millwork, caulking and waterproofing, roofing systems, metal wall panels, doors/frames/hardware, specialty overhead doors, glass and glazing systems, metal studs/drywall/insulation, ceiling treatments, hard tile flooring, soft flooring and base, painting and wall coverings, specialties, signage, aluminum canopies, athletic equipment, food service equipment, window treatments, conveying systems, fire sprinklers, plumbing, mechanical systems and controls, and electrical systems. The Construction Manager will prequalify subcontractors and may engage trade partners during the design phase for design-assist or preconstruction services. Selection for early involvement is based on qualifications, experience with similar projects, technical expertise, safety performance, and ability to collaborate. Participation in design-assist or preconstruction does not guarantee a construction subcontract award. The Design-Builder may reject submissions, modify procurement, add or delete packages, or solicit further information.
