Sidewalk & Curb/Gutter Program (North) Project Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same and must be accompanied by a contract and bid bond, a certified check, or a bank cashier's check, in the sum of five per cent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Kenosha as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of contract. Should any bid be rejected, such check will be forthwith returned to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such check will be returned upon the timely and proper execution and securing of the contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute the contract and performance bond, the amount of the bid bond or check shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The requirements included in Subsection C and D of Section 5.001 of the Code of General Ordinances for the City of Kenosha regarding Protection In Public Bidding are waived for this project. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish Worker's Compensation and Liability Insurance as enumerated in the specifications. The City of Kenosha reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid considered most advantageous to the City of Kenosha. The proposed improvements consist of supplying all the necessary labor, material, and equipment to satisfactorily construct and install all improvements according to the plans and specifications designated as Project No. 26-1207 North Sidewalk Project.
