The purpose is to select a qualified company to perform preventative maintenance services on camera system equipment for the Lynchburg Police Department and Emergency Communication Center. This includes the repair and possible replacement of associated hardware components and licensing associated with software. The contractor shall provide scheduled maintenance and inspection of CCTV cameras, housings, and pan/tilt units, including minor repairs and adjustments as needed, covering both traditional and dome-type CCTV cameras. Annual preventative maintenance on all cameras must be performed between March 15 and May 30. All cameras must be serviced within this timeframe to avoid interference with standardized testing in buildings. The contract also includes coverage for service-related calls for repairs or replacements outside the scheduled maintenance period. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with consideration given to prior experience and demonstrated competence through provided references. The total base bid will be calculated using the annual cost of Camera System Preventative Maintenance for the LPD’s Headquarters and Emergency Communication Center for the specified term.
