Sealed bids will be received for the furnishing, placing, and compacting of bituminous hot mix under maintenance contract No. MC-M-2000. Work orders will be issued for individual assignments, and payment will be made according to the appropriate quantity unit pricing. Each work order must be completed within 45 calendar days of issuance. Haul distance is measured from the asphalt plant's scales to the job site. Bids are required for various quantities of 4.75 mm, 9.5 mm, 12.5 mm, 19 mm, and 25 mm State Mix asphalt, with prices to be provided per ton for specified quantity ranges. Freight quotations are also required per ton mile for each mix type, with minimum freight rates per ton regardless of haul distance. All bids are subject to price adjustment clauses based on an industry-wide cost index and must comply with MDOT specifications. Bids must be sealed and clearly marked with the appropriate information. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities in the best interest of the County. Accepted bid prices will be valid for a 12-month period.
