The work for this project includes, but is not limited to, microsurfacing, cape seal, crack sealing, adjusting/rebuilding drainage, sewer, and water structures, installation of hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement, HMA berm, granite curbing and edging, assessable ramps, landscaping and other miscellaneous work-related street improvement and preservation items. To bid on this project, Contractors must be prequalified in accordance with 720 CMR 5.00, Prequalification of Contractors by online. Bids NOT sent via mail or courier should be hand-delivered to the Procurement Lock-Box, located on the top floor of the Town Office Building, 1625 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA 02420. The Lock-Box, located outside of the Comptroller’s Office, will be checked for bids at the specific due date and time. Bids may also be hand-delivered directly to the Purchasing Director or her designee. Should a bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from, the drawings or contract documents, or should he/she have questions as to the interpretation of the plans or contract documents he/she shall submit such in writing to the Director of Public Works at least five days before the date herein set for the opening of bids. An interpretation will be mailed by certified mail to prospective bidders at the addresses given by them on or about two days before the opening of bids. Signed copies of all addenda shall be included with the bid. Omission of the signed addendum shall be cause for rejections of the bid.
