This is a repair and maintenance project for the existing elevators and dumbwaiters in the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center (LEDC), which consists of a North Tower and a South Tower. The North Tower contains four traction elevators and one hydraulic elevator, while the South Tower contains three traction elevators and two dumbwaiters. The work is to be completed in five parts and in a specific sequence, with each part requiring a Certificate of Occupancy before work on the next part can begin. Additionally, a card reader system must be provided to control the opening of the doors for designated elevators. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and facility tour, and must submit a background check form at least 10 business days prior to the meeting to enter the facility.
