Bedford County Schools is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of carpet flooring at designated school facilities. Project may include multiple campuses, classrooms, libraries, administrative offices, and corridors. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and disposal required to: A. Removal Remove existing carpet and pad Remove adhesive (if required) Remove and replace transition strips (as needed) Dispose of materials in accordance with local regulations Protect walls, furniture, and adjacent finishes B. Floor Preparation Inspect subfloor conditions Leveling and patching as needed Crack repair Concrete grinding (if required) C. Installation Furnish and install specified carpet tile or broadloom Install moisture barrier (if required) Install new cove base if specified Reinstall transitions Proper seam alignment ADA-compliant transitions The Department of Finance reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities for the purpose of ensuring that the award given is in the best interest of Bedford County.
