Work includes, but is not limited to, excavation, grading, landscaping, planting, transplanting and custom furniture installation. Renovation of the existing garden, electricity supply and civil works are also included in the scope of work. The Contract also includes the recovery of certain existing equipment and their reinstallation. The garden being located between the two pavilions SU and RS, the Contractor must consider that the users and occupants of the two buildings will continue their activities during the work. The Contractor must act in such a way as to minimize inconvenience to users and staff. Similarly, the outdoor courtyard, parking, access, etc., will also continue to be used throughout the duration of the work. The Contractor shall ensure that users have access to the facilities in a safe, sanitary and seamless environment. This includes all fit-up work, all demolition, protection, reinforcement and other works necessary for the complete completion of the Work and all related works such as: site layout and cleaning, temporary protective work, repairs and modifications of existing interior fittings works. All the jointing, repair, drilling work required for the works herein are included. The Contractor will have full responsibility for controlling access to the site. In situations where the Contractor needs to carry out work elsewhere in the building or in cases where it has to perform electromechanical service outages, it will do so outside normal hours of occupancy by users, as authorized by the Owner. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond issued by a Financial Institution, as defined in section 12 of the Regulation respecting construction contracts of public bodies (CQLR, c. C-65.1, r.3) and established at 10% of the value of the Submission valid for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of opening the Submissions. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
