Bids are being requested for modification and upgrades to Inman Avenue (CR 602) & Grove Avenue, Edison (EDI029). Bids must be submitted using the standard bid proposal form in the designated manner, enclosed in sealed envelopes with the project name and bidder address on the outside, and addressed to the Board of County Commissioners of Middlesex County. Each bid must include a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for at least 10% of the amount bid, not to exceed $20,000, and a consent of surety letter from a responsible bonding company. If submitted by an entity or corporation, a resolution authorizing the individual/officer to execute a contract if the bid is accepted must be included. Quantities listed are estimates, and the County reserves the right to adjust quantities at the unit price stated in the Proposal Sheet. All bidders must comply with affirmative action requirements and prevailing wage reporting rules. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The lowest responsible bidder must submit Manning Table Form AA201 (Construction) to the Affirmative Action Office after award notification and provide proof of submission to the County. Failure to do so within two weeks may result in rescinding the award and awarding to the next lowest bidder, with the difference in award amount payable by the originally selected contractor if rescinded. Bidders must follow all instructions as specified in the bidding documents.
