The scope of work includes remodeling existing classroom spaces into functional teaching kitchens and support areas within the current building footprint at the high school. This involves reconfiguring layouts, installing culinary equipment, and upgrading plumbing, electrical, ventilation, and life safety systems to meet code and instructional needs. The project is designed to create safe, compliant, and effective spaces for modern culinary education. In addition, the project includes restroom remodels at the Central Middle School. Separate bids will be received for all portions of the work, including General Trades, Doors, Frames & Hardware (Furnish), Aluminum & Glass Assemblies, Gypsum Board Assemblies, Tile, Acoustical Ceiling Tile, Carpet & Resilient Flooring, Painting/Wall Coverings, Food Service Equipment, Fire Protection, HVAC, Plumbing, Building Automation & Controls, and Electrical & Security. Bidders must submit sealed proposals with proper labeling, include a bid security of 5% of the proposal amount for bids over $25,000, and successful bidders will be required to furnish Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond. Procurement instructions include viewing and purchasing of documents via the Franz Reprographics website, with responsibilities detailed for both partial and full sets. Bidders are responsible for accounting for all work and coordination with other trades as shown in the construction documents. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities.
