The project consists of localized milling, roadway excavation, base course, scratch course, wearing course, and all other associated work as described in the specifications. The PRIMARY (BASE) BID includes work on King George Drive, Lexington Road, Brandywine Road, Concord Road, and James Drive. An ALTERNATE BID is included for Country Club Road. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check payable to Lower Nazareth Township or a Bid Bond at 10% of the total bid price. The successful bidder must provide a Performance and Payment Bond of 100% of the awarded contract total within 15 calendar days of the Notice of Intent to Award. A Maintenance Bond equal to 100% of the awarded contract total will be required for 24 months from the date of the Notice of Completion, with the amount reduced to 50% during the second year. The work constitutes Public Works under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. All bidders must be prequalified by PennDOT (Sec. 102.01). All bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting.
