Professional engineering services are required on a continuing basis for the District, with the selected engineering firm acting in the general capacity of District Engineer. Services may include general engineering, ongoing support, and design and construction administration for the District’s capital improvement plan. Applicants must: hold all relevant licenses, be authorized to do business in Florida, and submit a Qualification Statement including U.S. General Service Administrations Architect-Engineer Qualifications, Standard Form No. 330, along with supporting data. Submissions must address the ability and adequacy of professional personnel, minority business enterprise status, willingness to meet time and budget requirements, past experience and performance (including as a District Engineer and with Sarasota County), office locations, workloads, and prior work with the District. Each Applicant must identify the individual to manage District meetings, construction services, and other engineering tasks. Applicants are to be ranked according to the requirements in Chapter 287, Florida Statutes (CCNA) and specified evaluation criteria. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Qualification Statements and will not reimburse expenses incurred for preparation or submittal. Protests regarding the terms or evaluation criteria must be filed in writing within set deadlines and accompanied by a protest bond.
