The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials and performing all work in strict accordance with the plans and specifications for Runway 01 Obstruction Removal at the Butler Municipal Airport, Butler, Georgia. All notations must be in ink, and each item on the bid form requires the price to be shown in both numerals and words. A Bidder's bond in the amount of 5% of the total proposal must accompany each proposal. A 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond are required at contract execution, with all bonds countersigned by a Georgia Resident Agent from a qualified surety company. The successful bidder will be required to provide the affidavit required by OCGA 36-91-21(e) Competitive Award Requirements. All work must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from the notice to proceed. Liquidated damages for delays will be $1,000 per calendar day. Payment will be made monthly on completed work, with retainage held to a maximum of ten percent (10%) of each progress payment.
