Sealed bids are requested for elementary playground equipment at Will Moore Elementary School. Bids must be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope with the required information as specified in the Bid Documents and clearly marked for Will-Moore Elementary Playground Equipment. The owner reserves the right to hold all legitimate bids for up to thirty days after the opening date, to reject any or all bids or portions thereof, and to waive irregularities. No legal liability is incurred for payment until the contract is awarded and approved by the proper authorities. The contract ceiling price for this project, which includes all necessary materials, labor and equipment is $160,000.00 - Risk for exceeding ceiling price shall be assumed by Contractor. ii. 5" O.D. posts. iii. Deck height of 8' max. iv. One ADA transfer station. v. All bolts must be dipped in Loctite. vi. Play structure to comply with ASTM 1487-11. vii. Play equipment represented as complying with ASTM 1487-11 consumer safety performance specification shall meet all applicable requirements specified in the standard. viii. Bidder shall provide essential records as necessary to document any claim that the requirements of 1487-11 have been met. ix. Third Party Certification documents (i.e.IPEMA) are suitable documentation of play equipment component compliance with applicable standards and should be submitted with bid. Swing sets: x. (One) double bay oodle type swing. xi. Swing set to be designed for children ages 5-12 years. xii. Swings to be manufactured with 5" O.D. uprights and top rail. xiii. Swing set to comply with ASTM 1487-11. xiv. Play equipment represented as complying with ASTM 1487-11 consumer safety performance specification shall meet all applicable requirements specified in the standard. xv. Bidder shall provide essential records as necessary to document any claim that the requirements of 1487-11 have been met. Engineered Wood Fiber: xvi. Vendor will provide engineered wood fiber for surfacing material for entire playground area and shall be provided at a settled depth of 12" for the total number of square footage (approx.14,000sq.ft.). xvii. EWF must comply with ASTM 1292, 2075 and 1951 standards. xviii. Bidder shall provide essential records as necessary to document any claim that the requirements of the standards ASTM 1292, 2075, and 1951 have been met. xix. Third Party Certification documents (i.e.IPEMA) are suitable documentation of play equipment component compliance with applicable standards and should be submitted with bid.
