Renovation of a municipal facility in Cheshire, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Town of Cheshire is seeking competitive bids from qualified and responsible vendors for furnishing HVAC upgrades to the Administration Building located at the Cheshire Water Pollution Control Plant. The Town reserves the right to amend or terminate the Invitation to Bid, accept all or any part of a bid, reject all bids, waive any informalities or non-material deficiencies in a bid, and award the bid to the bidder that, in the Town's sole discretion and judgment, will be in its best interests. Bidders are solely responsible for ensuring timely delivery. The Town will NOT accept late bids. A. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of an HVAC upgrade for an existing building. B. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to the following major elements: 1. Demolition of existing water source heat pump system including the fan coil units, controls, heat pumps, and heat exchanger with the associated pumps. 2. Provision and installation of new heat pumps, fan coil units and controls with some new ductwork. 3. Provision and installation of a cooling tower for heat rejection. 4. Provision and installation of an electric boiler for heat addition. 5. Patch and repair to match existing of all walls and ceilings damaged during demolition and removal of old and installation of new equipment. 6. Electrical: Provide removal and relocation of existing HVAC equipment circuits and provide new circuits for HVAC equipment, to include all breakers, conduit, wire and disconnects as specified. 7.
